First Base

So, you've just started, maybe looted some buildings, and now you are deciding the best place to build a base. Well, here are some tips.

• Don't make your first base in the city, as zombies like to spawn in great quantities.
• Zombies have a tough time swimming.
  • Beware of drowneds, since those can swim.
• Zombies can't fly.
• Zombies don't like the woods.
• Zombies don't jump very high.
• Zombies don't like barbed wire, which can be obtained from the top of Police Stations.
  • Beware of drowneds, those can walk through barbed wire quite fast.
• Zombies CAN climb ladders.
• Zombies CAN break through most doors.
• By Horde Day 105, Zombies can break through blocks.
• In later hordes, Zombies can get very big.

So, with this information, you can decide if you want a water base, sky base, take over a skyscraper, or have a regular ground base, but if you choose a ground base, make sure to have a lot of layers of defenses and consider making the base on the outskirts of a city rather than in it.

It is recommended that you surround your base with barbed wire (Razor Wire if you have it) and build it somewhere out in the open so that you can see it. It gets very dark at night so put torches on the outside to make it easier to see.
